Now that Google has announced their game streaming service, and Microsoft has one right around the corner, does Nintendo need to look ion that direction? This is what Dave and Jonny discus. Further consideration goes into whether or not Nintendo should team up with Google to do this. They could make that work, but what would that do for the future of Nintendo hardware? Does all this mean that individual platform hardware will be gone in a generation or two? Will high speed internet be widely available enough to support this? If so, in how long? Dave and Jonny have many thoughts.
What will Google be announcing at GDC 2019? Do they have a brand new 4th Console?
Dave and Jonny dive into their predictions about Google's new console. Dave went in thinking it would be a full console box, but Jonny might have changed Dave's mind. Will this just be a streaming device using Project Stream? If so, are those without great internet screwed? Maybe! Jon definitely thinks so. Further, will this console be less than $150? If not, neither Jonny or Dave think it will sell. Final prediction for Jonny is that this console will end up being dead in a very short amount of time.
